Chew This!

If you’re like most people, you generally rush through your day…and through your meals. Well, we are here to let you know that chewing your food at a slower pace can actually have some health benefits!

A recent study suggests that eating rapidly can actually lead to gaining extra weight. Problem is, it doesn’t end there…chowing down your meals too quickly can also lead to a higher chance of developing type 2 diabetes. A researcher from Lithuania discovered that fast eaters were 2 ½ times more likely to be diagnosed with this ailment compared to those who eat slowly and with ease.

Our Lithuanian researchers don’t know why this is so…but it’s still an important piece of info to keep in mind. To top that off, the same research team found that drinking 2 cups of coffee per day helps to reduce the risk for diabetes as well.
