Famous for that sexy mole on the side of her mouth that we all grew to love, Cindy Crawford was one of the original super models of our time. Asked to play a role in a movie at 28 years of age, she hesitantly agreed, even though she had never actually dreamed of being an actress. According to a video of Cindy speaking for Oprah Winfrey’s Life Class sessions on Huff Post OWN Videos, she explains honestly how while the world criticized her for her poor acting skills – and many would react defensively by curling up into a ball – she took a positive attitude about it all. This failure in her life revealed exactly what she ‘did not’ want to do in her life; she truly did not want to pursue an acting career like many ex-models prefer to do when their catwalk days come to an end. This was not who she was… and this was good news to her! A positive attitude and a lesson learned. She accepted her failure as a gift. Wouldn’t it be great if we all could look at our personal failures in such a positive light? Hmmmm… I wonder what lesson she learned from her failed marriage to Richard Gere?
