I am 35 years old and have a dilemma I would like you to kindly address. I have a fairly large body, which wouldn’t actually bother me much if it wasn’t for my big belly. I walk 30 to 40 minutes every day, yet I still can't get rid of the fat on my stomach. I consume three meals daily, and due to the nature of my work, I eat late in the evening because I have a hard time sleeping when I am hungry. Can you please tell me what might help me to lose my unwanted belly fat?
Dear Anthony J.M.,
If you are trying to lose weight by walking an hour every day, you should reconsider your game plan because this is not necessarily the best routine for you in order to lose the hard to lose excess weight around your middle. If you work late, a smart move to begin with would be to plan for the evening meal ahead of time. For your hunger issues in the late evening, making sure to eat a small and healthy snack would be a better option for you. You definitely do not want to eat a heavy meal before going to sleep. And since you are spending almost an hour a day walking, why not invest this time in an effective workout plan and focus on variation!? Day one: a brisk walk. Day two: work with weights. Day three: cycle. Day four: do some stretching, etc… You should remember to work with weights at least twice a week, and be sure not to do the same exercises every time you workout. A comprehensive plan will be much more effective to combat your belly fat in the long run.
Best of luck!
