Even the cutest and most talented celebrities out there live with disorders and issues just like the rest of us. Jennifer Aniston grew up believing something wasn’t just right with her. Was she slow? Was she dumb? Why did things get scrambled up in her head from time to time?
In her early 20’s, this actress was finally diagnosed with dyslexia, a startling discovery on one hand, and a relief on the other. She wasn’t dumb… and she wasn’t losing her mind either. It just made perfect sense.
Earlier this year, Jenn revealed to The Hollywood Reporter how she struggled with self-esteem issues and had difficulties in school.
“I thought I wasn’t smart. I just couldn’t retain anything,” Aniston expressed to THR. “Now I had this great discovery. I felt like all of my childhood trauma-dies, tragedies, dramas were explained.”
The cause of dyslexia is still unknown and it is something many have to live with for the rest of their lives. The good news is one can learn how to cope better with certain techniques and tactics. And definitely, the earlier the diagnosis, the better.
