Samsung has announced the Galaxy S5, the successor to the Galaxy S4, which is set to be released globally on April 11th, 2014.
I spoke to Roland Abi Najem, IT and Social Media expert, who gave his opinion on the Samsung Galaxy S5 versus the Samsung Galaxy S4.
“I think that the expectations were much more than what Samsung has provided in S5. If we go in head to head comparison, we can notice that S5 is slightly better in terms of Processor, Rear Cam, USB 3.0, New OS… but that’s is…” he said.
“The main added value Samsung are trying to promote is fingerprint authentication to pay with PayPal. I think it is the worst they can do. Why? If we think back when Apple Launched the iPhone5, it took hackers less than 24 hours to hack the fingerprint authentication to unlock the phone. So what about when this type of authentication is used for payment options like Paypal,” he added.
“I guess people were expecting more from Samsung and now the competition can go up, especially from LG, Sony and Apple for sure,” the expert explained.
